Default Integra guy wondering about h/f swaps!

Hey guys, I hardly lurk towards the prelude/accord forums, but have a quick question.

There is a guy who says in his sig 'you can bolt any f series block to any h series head and vice versa'.

I know lots of integras do h2b swaps and I am thinking about swapping in an f series block, with an h22 head, just to be original, and due to the fact that f series are plentiful!

I will be planning on grabbing a shortblock and fully rebuilding it.

Im thinking of swapping an h22 head onto an f23 block, to get the extra displacement.

Following this project:

You guys call it a g23? I like it

I know there will be a few things I need. h22 pulley on the crank and water pump (should make the belt fit). My main question is swapping it into a teg.

Assuming its the same OBD, could I splice my harness into the sensors? Or would my teg sensors fit the h23 block? Even if it cant, I can just get h/f sensors and splice my wires.

I will start by rebuilding the shortblock first. and am wondering if the pistons/crank/rods would travel too close to the valves? I know that in integras, you need vtec pistons with a vtec head since the valve reliefs might tap. I will be milling the head and the block.

Also, if anyone has general tips? Maybe h22 pistons are better? I'm guessing since its a SOHC vtec block the compression shouldnt be too crappy.

:D

Thanks

EDIT: INteresting pic. Is machining needed in every g build?
