Okay so noticed that my engine started missing, so I checked the plugs and and figured out number 3 wasn't firing. I replaced the plug wires and it was still missing.. so it was sitting there idling and it just shut off.. went to go and start it again and it wont spark at all.. put the old plugs back in and nothing.
I figure it's either the distributor, ignition coils or the major relay..
Just wanted to see if anyone had any ideas.

try changing out your coil first , if nothing, then the whole dizzy..

 

Coil or ICM, either one is not an uncommon problem on older Honda/Acura. 94

 

if it is only missing on cylinder 3 check the spark gap if good try switching wires and spark plug like take a good wire you know and put it on 3 and like spark plug 4 if its good and use it on cylinder 3 if still miss fire then it will be your cap to rotor check for bad terminal. If it was bad icm or coil it would alternate between cylinders on most cars

 

Right, so I swapped out the coil with one of my friends and it started sparking but not enough to start the car.. so I went ahead and bought a new dizzy, rotor button and cap as well. It started but now is only running on 2 cylinders.. So I swapped the sparkplug wires out with new NGK and it's still only running on two. I'm stumped here.. I'm going to clean the fuel injectors but I can smell fuel. I recently installed Skunk2 alpha headers and they bypassed the cat so I had it cut out. Would lacking a o2 sensor cause cylinder issues?? Note that it's a 1994 Integra RS with a 2000 GSR swap. Not sure how many o2 sensors I have. Any more ideas? This is my daily and dont want to run my car on 2 out of 4..

 

Are you getting any codes? Lacking an O2 could cause it to run rather rich... tho I'm guessing, that is usually the safe default.

it would run fine with taht header it will just pull a check engine light for it and run a lil rich. are you sure the firing order on the wires are correct to the dizzy?

 

Run your ECU for codes and see what the problem is, then get back on here..

 

I'm getting no CEL. It came briefly but then shut off but I turned the car off and next time I started it up it was gone. I'm 100% positive the firing order is correct, I've checked it many times.

 

Checked the distributor plug for corrosion, bent pins, etc?
