I am having trouble removing the rocker panel cover.....the clips do not seem to be releasing as I am pulling on the cover. I am trying to clean up some rust under the cover and I need to remove them. Has anyone removed the covers, if so how? Any help or suggestions is appreciated. Joe

 

Just pull on them with your hands alittle more than shoulder width apart. Dont be afraid of the rocker panel.

 

I tried pulling on them and broke one of the clips, that is why I thought that maybe there was a trick to remove them.

 

When doing new car prep work at Honda I had to frequently remove them. I dont know how you could break a clip. The white plastic clips are available from Honda. Unless you broke the piece on the rocker panel itself. I pull them from the inside towards me. Thats the best advice I can give you.

 

I didn't break the panel, rather the white plastic clip. The panel snaps into the rocker and wraps around to the underside of the car, where it is attached by snap-in fasteners. I am not sure what you meant by grabbing it from the inside and pulling? When you grab it from the bottom and try to pull, it tends twist and not put correct pressure for removal.
