Default Sorting out the new "toy" opinions, please.

Ok, I have been trying to get a few things together for this weekend at VIR. I would some opinions on a few things.

The car: 2000 Civic hatch.

1st: Front sway bar.

I am using KYB AGX's with rates of 340 front, and 450 rear. 2000 civic SI susp'n front and rear, including the 12-13mm rear sway. I have a GSR stock front sway, should I install this?

2nd: 98 GSR MC, and brake booster.

The car is using GSR front and rear calipers and rotors. I am trying to locate a set of panther plus pads for the front. I am using some Endless pads on the rear (these were on the car when I got it). Is it worth it to swap to the GSR MC and booster. I already have both of these parts.

3rd alignment settings

What toe settings should I use? "0" front and rear was recommended, just wanted some insight. I will be running street tires.

4th Oil Pan swap

The car currently has a Moroso 5 qt "drag racing" oil pan. Should I worry about this at VIR? I think I can locate a stock oil pan, but should I even bother?

I think that is everything. Thanks in advance for the input.

1st: Front sway bar.
Yes, install it. You don't have enough spring to run without.

2nd: 98 GSR MC, and brake booster.
No idea. How does the pedal feel? If it feels firm and doesn't have excessive travel, I wouldn't do it until you have time to try it on the street.

3rd alignment settings
0 toe is a good start. Most people end up running slight toe out up front to aid turn-in.

4th Oil Pan swap
No clue. How low is it? If it work son the street (with potholes and speed bumps and such), it should be ok for the track. More oil is good.

Tempting, but no..

Why would you want to drive a "stock" 00 Civic DX?

find a stock pan and bring it with you.

watch the oil light at #3, #4, and the left hander on the crossover and see if it comes on.

I think you 'may' have issues.

front bar - NO plenty of people run soft rates and stock front bar or NO front bar , I wouldnt put it on

MC - it wont fit on the civic booster , I wouldnt sweat it. pedal goes a LITTLE too far but no biggie

toe - 1/16" toe out on each side front did very nice for me , a big difference over the old settings.

oil pan - not sure , but I dont like drag racing parts so I agree with Willie on that one.

Thanks for the replies.

I have an oil pan I will be putting on tomorrow. (thanks Ben)

I will attempt to install the GSR MC and booster tomorrow, then adding ATE super blue.

Front bar will go on to see how she feels.

Still deciding on the alignment settings.

Thanks again
