car died uphill
Ok so im driving my EM2 up the hills in Jamaica only to feel the car suddenly sputters then dies. tried starting it nothing. finally it starts then barely makes it up the hill and dies again. open the hood only to see smoke coming off the tranny allowed it to cool started it jerked for a bit then started then was smooth after that. the other day going up another hill it did the same had to put it in 2 (automatic) and allow it to cool. the car did not over heat the gauge was at the normal temperature wan to know if that was the tranny giving me a signal. it is driving smooth now. and does it have to do wid the fact that i was driving it in D up the hill.
Your scenario makes me think that either you are low on transmission fluid, causing the torque converter to work extra hard going up hill and possibly seizing. I would inspect your transmission fluid for both discoloration and quantity.
