Has anyone bought this and slopped it onto their ek/em? If so, how well does it perform? Tell me what you know... I've heard about people's subframes tearing away with the beefier bars... This is my next purchase... if I get a thumbs up from you guys...

i have the kit on my ek. 22mm itrm rear sway bar with si endlinks and reinforced subframe plates. this kit from beaks was one of the best suspension upgrades that i have done. it noticeably stiffens the rear end and i don't worry about subframe tearout. anyways, Wil from beaks is the man and he should be able to answer any of your questions. definitely gets the double
from me.
from me.
I installed my Beaks kit last week and really like it. Great service as well. He forgot my endlinks in the original shipment. I emailed him, and I got a UPS tracking number a few hours later for the endlinks.

Great kit, it's worth every penny but if you part it out you can save some cash.
You can get the sway bar from here: http://www.acuraautomotiveparts.net/
the end liks from here: http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/
the bushings from here: http://www.summitracing.com/
And of course the reinforsement plates from beeks.
I summit has the protane bushings on B/O you can use the Energy suspention ones or get the stock ITR ones.

BTW. I know people with a few other reinformcment kits, and they still tore the subframe.
I have not read or heard of one person with a Beaks kits that has torn their subframe. But I know of someone using a Beaks kit to reinforce an already torn subframe.
I have got some hard driving and 5-6 autox's on mine and absolutely no sign of any impending tearout. The kit does EXACTLY what it was designed to do.
Don't be discourage by having to drill a couple of holes in your subframe. IMO, this is why this kit works and some of the others do not.....spreading the load over a larger part of the subframe.
I was unaware that I had to drill holes... but logically that would be the best option...add more points where its bolted down to spread the stress....makes sense... ...hrmm that puts all my doubts to rest... i cant wait to get this...

Eddie - who won't be installing for a LONG time till he gets his SI FRONT sway bar w/forks, and lcas
oh btw, i emailed Wil at like 7 in the morning, and he replied back in 10 mins. now that's GREAT customer service.
I have a 94, but this applies. Drilling holes is meaningless as far as stress distrubution is concerned, to align the lower holes you have to. If you have Energy bushings, you will need to grind either the Beaks kit, and/ or the bushing. No one told me that. Other than that, it's easy.

Wil is thee coolest. Seriously, one of the most helpful people out there.
SRK is awesome. I can't imagine driving without my ITR swaybar.

Sorry is this is a stupid question.

thats an SRR lower control arm. it doesnt provide much over stock.. may be a tad bit lighter..
but its mainly for the bling bling.

It is definitely not any lighter and the with the "eyes closed scale" appreared to be heavier then stock.
Bushings are definitely stiffer though.
The stock arms have a tendency to deflect/flex under heavy load, especially when running heavier springs and swaybars or so I was told.

i've heard mixed thoughts about the weight difference. but its not like it'll make a noticeable difference anyways. hence the reason i said "may" heh.

those who has torn their subframe with beaks kit might have had a soft springs.
its like me having a 500lb. springs in the rear and a type R sway bar without any reinforcement and have no problem with subframe tearouts. on the other hand someone else could have a soft springs in the rear, type r sway, and a beaks kit and still have their subframe tearout. understand? you have to look at the spring rate because it contributes weather the subframe will rip or not.
Thanks for the info guys... any specific place or price on those SRR LCAs...they look neat.....nothing id go rush out and buy tho....
