fuel pump problem
i'm new to the honda game and i need some help. i have a civic hatchback with a d16z6 motor, i recently begin having problems with the fuel pump not coming on. i change the pump, the main relay and the pump won't come on it will only come on if i wiggle all the wires under the dash by the fuse box and relay i have a book on 92 to 95 civics, once the pump comes on it starts with no problem, but if i try again it takes a few seconds or minutes before i can hear the pump coming on if anyone has had the same problem please give some advice. thanks
a few weeks ago i posted asking for help on a fuel pump problem. when i start the car the fuel pump won't come on and sometimes it comes on and runs fine but when i turn the car off it starts but theres a delay with the fuel pump or it just won't start at all. i took the car to a mechanic they are trying to pin point the problem they check wires, fuses, and he even suggest to replace the distributor assy because they notice oil leaking and said that that might effect giving a signal to the ecm. so they now replace fuel pump, fuel relay, distributor assy, igniter, distributor cap and even sparkplugs and it still acts up with the same problem so the only thing to replace is the ecm. i'm asking has anyome out there has had the same problem or similar because i'm getting to the point to give up please help with any ideas or web sites for information i will gladly appreciated.

Jesus,
I've had a fuel pump problem almost same as yours. The only difference is that the car runs fine and then out of nowhere, pump stops for a second and back again. Same starting issue. Took me more than a year to find the fault. Fuse for the fuel pump sometimes heat up and loose contact whichever comes first. I just accidentally found the cause one night and i happen to peek under the dash and saw random sparks from the fuse holder. I cleaned the contacts and pressed the fuse hard inside. Now its fine.
