what kind of racing are you doing?

1/4 mile?

just remove your belt for the run, your battery has enough to do that.

of course if you are a street racer, well, I dunno, your battery won't last long enough without an alternator, but it will last just fine for one run down the 1/4, it would even last for a lap around the autox track.

just put your belts back on to charge the battery between runs, or get a battery charger...

stock should be fine unless you are going ***** to the wall, high RPM racing...
