Whats up guys im new to this thread got a 1996 civic ex stock 1.6L My temp guage is not workin at the moment its stock on half from previous owner, in the process of getting a new one.

anyways did a new thermostat cause car fan was comin on like 215-220 but not thermo runs at the 200. My brother had use his car scanner so the reading was correct.

Now i replaced the radiator cap from a autoparts store they looked up for my 96 and i check the other day pulled off cap and the fluid was not near top of radiator but tank was full so i added some from the tank back in radiator and added more to tank. Again today i check and again level in radiator was lower and tank was full. i ran car today came home popped hood upper raidiator hose feels hot and is expanded due to pressure inside im guessing. Im not seeing any leaks. Just dunno why my tank remains full and radiator looses its level? as if its not using the coolant from the tank?

Start here:

Bleeding the cooling system may take 20-30 minutes.

1) Park the car on an inclined driveway with the front end higher than the rear.

2) Push/turn the dash heater lever/**** to MAX heat. Fan need not be on.

3) Follow the directions in the diagram below
