LED Exterior bulb question...
So I am thinking about updating some lighting on the exterior of my car and was hearing from someone that LED exterior bulbs can cause some problems due to voltage being so different. Specifically the brake lights, turn signals, and reverse lights.... Any truth to this? Thanks in advance.
I heard something along the lines of what you said, fast blinking signals....but he also said (I cannot remember exactly and that's why I am asking, because he did both his Civic and his Grand Prix....and he may have been talking about his Grand Prix...) but he said, quote:
i'm almost certain he was talking about his Grand Prix, because GM is the one who would relate the wiring voltage of their brake lights/tail lamps to their cruise control system. lol. I'm just wanting to make sure though before I place an order....
watch out with the tail lights. when i put a red LED bulb in my taillight to try and brighten them up some it made my remote start and cruise control stop working. also remember that LEDs take less power so they will make blinkers go ape **** too.
