Just Picked up a 95 db7 its auto-magic ls b18b1 and to me my mpg is sucks. To a full tank i get about 260 mpg but from my half tank i only average 60 to 70 mpg. Do i have a leak or may something be wrong with my engine. Also what do you guys average for mPg.

 

You're getting 60-70 miles per gallon?! Or 60-70 MILES on what the gauge says is a half tank? Figure out you're actual MPG, sounds like it's right around 30, which is not bad. Factors such as tire pressure and how your drive make a big difference. ALSO, the fuel gauge is relative and may not be so precise as to accurately measure the true fuel level throughout the usage of one fill, but it's close enough to keep you from running out which is the entire purpose. It's been my experience that many cars seem to go through the second half of gas faster than the first.

 

Fill thank to the top, [as much as you can get in] note mileage on odometer or reset trip meter, drive till your down to about 1/2 a tank of gas, fill to "top", note milage, note the amount of gas you put in, do the math, this should be done a number of times to get the "average" MPG, the more times you do it, the more acurate the average MPG will be. 94

 

Yeah ive been noting my mpg for the past month seems i gotta put gas everyweek and i live in hawaii so gas is killing me. From a full tank to half i get about 180 but half tank down my needle drops fast. But is this regular ?

 

itz normal. the needle isn't super accurate. ave mpg is about 25 city/hwy. my mix of 60 city/40 hwy is about 24-25mpg.

 

Ok as long as its normal. Bummer thou my ej6 usto get 300+ miles for a full tank. But i will sacrifice for looks and leathers cheehee.
