Default B16B Head Questions

I know this has probably been covered, but the search has failed me...
I am doing a B16B swapped into a EK9 hatch. Going all-motor, and wanted to see if anybody had any advice.
I am going to run stock B16B internals, but was wondering the pro's and con's of a B18C5 head-swap VS. the factory B16B head with a valve train upgrade. From all I have ever read, the B16B head is touted as one of the best, and doesn't need anything done to it. Is there any measurable difference in flow on the B18 vs B16 head? Planned on Supertech package and 264 cams cams for the stock head, but friends of mine had suggested a GSR head swap would be in my best interest. Thoughts?

They are the same heads exactly!!!

It should also be known that the 2000-2001 ITR cams are the exact same as CTR cams. The older ITR cams shared the same exhaust, and a very very minor difference on the intake cam with duration

Damn, so they cost about the same in cash, same head, 15hp difference... Why is the B16B so desirable, other than just cool points? The idea of squeezing power from a smaller motor is very appealing, and I wanted to do something different this time around (ZC Rex from my childhood R.I.P.) and another B18 Hatch isn't as appealing as an SiR clone with CTR powerplant, even though that's been done. I think EVERYTHING has been done, honestly.

There is a 15hp difference because the B18C is a larger engine! Much more importantly, the B18 make "torque"!! Personally, after having a B16B, i would not waste my time with it, the bigger engine is of coarse a better option...but whatever, it's your choice

Meh, i paid $1000 for my B18C-R, i couldn't care less what others think of my block stamping. As far as the wolf/sheep thing, my looks stock from the outside minus some wheels, that's sleeper enough for me

Yea that's true, but how many fast cars are there where u live here in So Cal there's a grip. Plus out here we battle against a lot of evo's and sti,and high end cars,so a wolf in sheep clothing works great out here. Feel's good to beat 100,000 car.
