I just threw on my new DC Sports header and while I was at it I did all my IM coolant hoses as well as for my radiator that appeared to be partially clogged and it started smoking a bit from the header itself and in the secondary pipe(that I actually left on from my cheapie ebay header for the time being until I can get around to a shop to replace it with the DC secondary pipe because its welded straight on and I need to have a flange put on the front side of the cat). I know when I pulled a couple of the IM coolant hoses I got a tad bit of coolant inside the IM but it wasn't really a whole lot. I'm pretty sure that these things smoke and it appeared to be calming down but it was still there. How much and long long should this last for ?

 

Sounds like you got fluid on the header. I had got some pb blaster in mine and it smoked for a few minutes.

 

Yah that will burn away go for a nice boot.

 

Yeah, looks like it is. Still has kind of a strange odor. I think when I get the downpipe put on I will use some brake cleaner on it a bit before I have it installed.

Also, my exhaust manifold gasket was leaking as I didn't have the bolts at 26 lbs. That caused a bit of noise to leak out as well. It went away when I properly tightened them down.
