Gsr.. can I make my goal???
Ok I have a boosted gsr and im trying to get 450 plus hp.ive done alot of searching and it seems fairly easy to hit that..im wondering if I can do it on 91 octane cuz its my daily and cant really afford driving 50 miles just to get 110..here is my set-up
Gsr
Stock head just ctr cams
Tru time cam gears
Je 9.5:1 pistons 81mm
Crower rods
Block guard
Borg warner turbo not sure of the size
Tail wastegate
3" exhaust
550 dsm injectors
Walbro 255 fuel pump
Thats it if I remember correctly.also to me the block looks sleeved but like the bored the block the put a 81mm sleeve in it cuz I was looking at my old block and it looked different.... Let me know what you guys think any help is appreciated thnx in advance

Why would the pump be discouraged???yea I kind of thought the injectors needed to be bigger....so whate can I do about the fuel..should I stick with 91 pump or do like a pre,mix of 110 and 91..if I tune on the re mix will I be ok to drive around on just 91 or no??like I said cant realy drive 50 miles everytime I need gas

I would not mix gas and make your own blend. For one its a pain in the *** and you want to ensure you have consistent fuel for whatever tune you have. I'd recommend using the same gas station as well. For example, when I had a pump gas tune I only ran Shell premium. Hope this helps, good luck
Ok thats the only thing im trying to figure out is what fuel to use can I make 450 + hp on pump gas we only get 91 here....and what do you tg uys think of the borg warner turbo???

Several problems here..... 1) we need to know what size turbo you have to see if you can even get over 450. 2) depending on answer to question 1, you will probably need a better fuel than 91, maybe e85 if thats available in your area... 450+ is towards the high end of 93 octane on any turbo I have ever seen so your pushing the limits here for sure. 3) you will definately need larger injectors period...... get at least a 1000cc size.

Okay so the number actually says 51t/32 I looked it up and it sa t3/t04e compressor trim 46 turbine trim sstage 2...also the turbo is from a 93 chevy diesiel...im not sure if the hot side on mine is the one that actually came with the turbo cuz mine looks different then all the pics I seen..also all the pics I seen had internal wastegates mines ecternal tail.so idk but I googleed the numbers on my housing and thats what I got
also it spools kinda slow I dont hit full boost until like 5500..it says the turbo is good up yo 350-400hp I kind of find that hard to believe cuz wen I had it in my bone stock gsr block it made 310 hp at 10 psi easily I just didnt want to push it
psi means nothing. If your turbo maxes out at 400 say at 16psi you can turn it up to 25psi and gain minimum hp because your turbo is maxed out. If your turbo is good till 400 thats it nothing else you can do.
I use to have a similar setup you can do it however like everyone said you'll need 1000cc injectors and pump just isnt really good for race motors n boost that why people say use race but if u can try to keep some vp at your house and mix it just dont use q16 and let it sit in the tank it will mess up your injectors i would say use c16
What is the trim on the turbo? And if its rated that low you may wanna switch turbos i have a precision t3-67 trim it spools quick and i made 782 hp so its good from 400's up to 780 so far
Ok, sounds like you have a GM-8 or GM-6? im not too sure with the details you gave... but figure if its off a diesel engine its probably got a bigger hot side than compressor. I have had some experience with the IHI turbos, I use to run a RHC7 and I made just under 300whp at 12-13psi on a built GSR motor. Figure you got about a 56lb/min turbo ishh.... With that said, I think its going to be a stretch to hit your goal of 450+whp..... on 91octane for sure... maybe with some race gas you could possibly hit it, but im suspecting you just dont have enough turbo to do it. post some pics of the turbine inducer and compressor inducer diamter.... that will give us some MUCH needed information.
Ill try to get some pics turbo is on the car so kinda hard to get good pics....im gonna get bigger injectors 1000cc,91 pump is not gonna happen so ima try to figure something out about that ha...possibly gonna buy a better turbo I was thinking this turbo could make my goal but after some research not to sure now..what size turbo should I go for???

You can probably sell the BW you have now and get some cash to fund the upgrades. Let us know bud.
