yeah u should expect to pay more for a name brand, the pioneer dvd/cd/nav/radio/xm unit runs for $2600 at best buy, i know it was recalled because of the plastic gears on it breaking though they r in the process of putting metal ones in. that is a common occurance with fold out screens. I am not sure if they have it in stock again yet. but that unit does everything except toast bread.
12 band graphic EQ built in, DSP built in, it even comes with three remotes.

I might sell my Pioneer AVX-P7000CD. Its an 7" in dash screen with a cd receiver. It is also XM ready. You will need to get the brain also, which will be around $350.. I am letting the unit go for 6 bills.. I believe the msrp is $1300.. Let me know if you are interested.. I'm in SD County too...

ck279: Can you please give us your honest opinion on both of those models? I heard the touch screen units such as the Clarion and (kenwood I think) were being recalled do to having problems. I know you want to sell your product but is there a problem out there? Are better models coming out soon?

TIA.
