Default 225/50/16 tire, any issues?

I currently have 215/45/16 on my 16x7 Spoons.

I found a set of cheap 225/50/16 Hoosier Drag Radials. This will fit on the rim fine and also will not rub during turns? I daily so rubbing is a factor.

I came across this picture and the person says it doesn't rub but am not sure of the wheel specs. My car is about the height of the one pictured.

If this is your car and you want me to take it down, please let me know

Why do you want drag radials to drive daily?

And yes, that tire is waaay to big. Your speedo will be significantly off and I'd imagine you will rub.

That tire is also 1.5" taller than stock.

That's a track tire go buy to black slipstreams and put the drags on there so when you wanna race put them on and it won't be noticeable!

I wouldn't run a 225/50/16 if you are lowered.

I daily drive my ITR with Mickey Thompson Drag Radials 225/50/15 with no problems but I was on stock suspension. Those tires are the best mod I have done, other than doing the K24 swap!

^^ So your favorite mod was to ruin the way the car came? Very nice. Should have just bought a regular Integra.

I belived and still do that all U.S. Acura dealers and U.S. law doesn't require that ITR buyers have to obligated to any "not to modify your ITR" contract. So, relax

My Integra race car is on 225/50/R16 and it handles them very well. modifications must be made but I did not roll my fenders. I have zero rub.

It isn't too tall of a tire that screws up with the gearing? I always thought a 23in tire was ideal for integras/civics

6% longer gearing than stock - good if you want lower cruising rpm, but no good for acceleration...

Only if you actually cruise at a lower indicated speed than before. Otherwise indicated speed and RPM will always be the same.
