It would be awesome but only if the pricing on the parts for the engine were cheaper. My dad work on a 250 superkart. That year wasnt cheap for that guy.

The CBR250RR is a 4 cylinder 4 stroke (18,000+rpm) ,
those Karts are 2 stroke twins 12,500 rpm ?

Those superkarts are amazing. I wonder why people waste big $ on track day
cars when a Kart would spank it. I saw one Kart with a 450 4stroke MX motor.
I bet that thing was fun.
