hi my friend has a prelude 2.3i that was set fire in an arsen attack, at his farm and the back end is ruined. but it still run and drives and would like to put the engine in a 4th gen civic how hard is this?

Typical method for this engine into the EF is to use the H motor and a B-series trans.
