Icon3 Need help, 97 Accord LX!

Hi, I'm new to this forum and am seeking help in determining what is wrong with my car. I have an 97 honda accord lx, just the stock engine, F22B2.

There's a couple parts to my problem, first is that my car has been leaking coolant, can't find where because they're no spots on the ground from it dripping. Next thing that happens is when you start it, it bogs out for a couple minutes and pours white smoke out of the tailpipe, but once it's going it's fine.

Any ideas on what might be causing this?

Any help would be appreciated!

haha i had the exact same car, its the headgasket, if theres a leak in it then this will explain the loss of coolant and the white smoke and boggy problems youre experiencing, almost guaranteeing it. you could have justg searched "white smoke, coolant gone" on google tho

Thanks for the help, I never did check back here until now after posting this. My guess was that it was the head gasket too but I just wanted to be sure before I bought one and started pulling stuff apart (which is why I posted here). Anyways, I went ahead and bought a head gasket and put it in anyways, just hoped that it would fix the problem and it did! Coolant levels are staying up, no bogging, no white smoke, no oil leaks, good all around!

Car ran perfect for a long time and now everything is going at once lol, did both front lower ball joints (hell of a job that was), head gasket, and now I have to reconnect the stabilizer bar haha, hopefully I'll be done with the trouble for a while after this.

Thanks for the reply!

Sounds like you got her running nice. Remember, white smoke = coolant burning
