idk if I'm in the right thread ,but i want to know which would be a lot easier to smog . I've got a 94 cx hatch and its koo on gas i just want a lil more power .so which one would of the two (d16z6 or d15b ) be easier to smog ?

 

it all depends, are you planning on leaving them both stock?

 

yea , i want a lil more power and wanna enjoy the gas mileage.

 

you can get a 2-stage vtec d15b ...more power than a stock non-vtec d15 and better fuel mileage than a z6 or a vtec d15 due to leaving an intake valve closed until 1500 or 2k rpm (forget) increasing swirl

 

You're in CA. Get the D16Z6.

 

I was wanting the d15 since easier to come by and in better shape then d16z6 , I was reading a couple threads talking bout they wont pass then read others that they pass with a chipped computer and a p06 mapping ? So I'm lost .
