Dry Start
Hey, is dry start bad for the engine? Would it eventually damage anything? Is there a way to stop it? The car makes a weird grinding sound upon cold starts. It's a 2008 Honda Accord EX-L

you're gonna need to clean up the terminology.
further explanation is required.
dry as in no oil, or dry as in no fuel?
no fuel/no start wont really hurt the engine because oil is still being circulated... to much fuel/no start can wash out the rings...
no oil/no start, is a bad thing.

A dry start will destroy an engine and is considered the number one determining factor in engine longevity. But your noise is not a dry start sound. You will not hear it. You have other issues.
