04 Civic Si RPMs hang at 4500
Driving home from work today I was in 5th gear driving about 70 mph and I let off the gas because Im getting near another car and I notice Im still going. I push in the clutch and car revs to 4500 rmps. I also hear this chirp sound when I press the gas. Chirp comes from outside the car.
So when I get home I turn the car off and disconnect the throttle cable. Start the car and problem goes away. Then I rev the car from the throttle body and the problem is back. Any ideas???
No CEL
Disconnected the throttle and cruise control cable and issue remains
Throttle body was cleaned 2 months ago.
New TB gasket was put on when I removed to clean
So when I get home I turn the car off and disconnect the throttle cable. Start the car and problem goes away. Then I rev the car from the throttle body and the problem is back. Any ideas???
