Default b20 upgrade questions

So ive googled several time only to find no real answers so i figured i would ask here. Its a jdm b20b the 9.2:1 compression version with the p8r head with vtec sized valves. Ive decided not to be like everyone else amd go vtec. Instead i want to boost it on 7lbs tuned for reliability. My question is, intake mani and TB? Which ones? I like the price of blox but i like the name of skunk2 and victorx, any other suggestions?

I am pretty sure that blox is a pretty good copy of the skunk2, I think the victor x is good for boost though.
b20 turbo and reliable dont really go together. Especially the higher compression one. if turbo is the goal, use a b18 block.

If you are boosting it, especially that low of PSI (assume CFM), completely stock would do perfectly fine. If you HAD to change the intake just find a late style LS and call it a day...

umm, b20 have less durable sleeves, whether its vtec or boosted.
but vtec is more reliable than forced induction and you can run it stock with minor issues ever occuring.

every lsv or b20v my friends have built take so much money to do right and they all get rod knocks. Im going to the best tuner in my area and im running low boost. I will take a b20 with low boost &250hp over a b20v anyday

Lol thread!

Op, ARP rod bolts. If you don't have them already, buy them.

I can see 250whp with a big enough turbo and 3" exhaust. I made 245whp at 14psi with a little T3 50 trim .48 hot .42 cold lol! 2.5" exhaust. But I'm B20V. Stock internals and no rod knock or cracked sleeves after years of abuse. BBMOTO TUNING FTMFW!! :p

blox is just a knockoff of the skunk2 manifold, but a good knockoff at that. the victor is is a serious manifold. if you only wanting to push 7 psi the victorX manifold is more then you need. i would highly recommend the skunk2 pro series manifold. since your boosting it you will want to put ARP head studs. a good tune and you will be just fine.

That's not good in my opinion... Then again theft is a huge concern around where I live. I hate to say it but boosted B20's are dogs... but will spank any N/A B20 any day. Regardless, post a build thread when you get your stuff together and everyone will know how great you are.
