Elec. Power Steering doesn't come on when it's cold outside.
I have a 2007 Civic Si. When it's really cold outside, the first time I start my car, everything comes on fine except for the electrical power steering. The problem started last winter and every time it happened, i would turn the car off and restart it and it would be fine.
This year, it's taking more than just 1 or two tries to get it to come on. I have noticed that if I leave it on for a longer time, I may only have to restart it once to get the EPS to come on.
I've submitted this question in other forums and the only feedback I've received is that I need to take it in to the dealers. Can you offer any more insight into what may be wrong before I take it in?

The only thing I might suggest is check all of the plug in's make sure they are clean and tight.
Something isn't powering up like it should on start, it could even be a broken or loose engine ground, check all of your grounding points also.
Is the car still under warranty? it may be the EPS itself that has a bad spot.
