Default ABS Light Code 1 "Pump Motor Overrun"

Hello,

I am throwing an ABS code and i'm looking for some insight. Code comes on after about 30-40 seconds after the car moves (I've read that the abs motor starts to pump after you hit about 10MPH)

History: The car sat for about 3-4 months, then I pulled the motor/tranny and put a new one in. At the time I also cleaned up the engine grounds.

The fluid is filled to the max line just as it always has been.

I've read about an ABS ground that is "behind the dash". I am not sure if this could throw the code i am having.

i have all the normal engine/wire harness grounded and the 2 white plugs all grounded properly.

I've seen recommendations to bleed the abs system, but i find it hard to believe that i would have to do that since I didn't even touch the abs system, and it would take a trip to honda to rule that out.
Anyone know the average cost at honda? i've seen the 'special tool' online for like $125ish.

any insight or things to check would be appreciated since the winder season is coming.

Thanks

Only 1 of 2 reasons you'll get this code, ABS pump is locked up requiring replacement of the complete ABS unit or you have air in the system which is much less likely. Try bleeding the ABS modulator, if you have no pressure then you know the pump is shot.

I work at the dealer and with my 93 I have the same problem which I found the pump to be seized, I could ask Tuesday about how much they'd want at the front door.
