license plate light wire help...

Default license plate light wire help...

trying to wire two led lights up for my license plate to keep it legal..leds have a red and black wire on them.any suggestions on how to wire things up.thanks

Chances are that the red is positive and black is ground. LEDs only work one way. Jump from the battery positive to one lead and battery negative on the other. If it lights up then you're good. If not, switch the leads.

i have a four wire oem plug that i think powered up the original taillight and plate but not sure, may try and get a reading off of it with my voltmeter.
