got some rain on the east coast and unfourtunatly went through a puddle that was my lane.

check engine light and atts light went on immediatly, i stoped, checked everything, the left side of the car went into the puddle and things were moist under the hood.

engine cuts out, wont go past 3k any gear and just cuts out.

any ideas as to the problem????

i dont have a cool air intake, its a short one and no water was seen anywhere around the intake.

 

pull the code and see what the CEL is for... otherwise we're just guessing

 

pulled the code. p1361. what does that mean?

 

P1361 is intermittent interruption in TDC 1 sensor circuit
check the out the TDC sensor, connector 124 (gray and on the distributor) check power and grounds. It's missing signal from the TDC sensor in the distributor and causing a misfire.
also the active torque transfer system goes out automatically once the CEL goes on as a safety precaution....
