if you want power gain swap over to an MPFI set up. otherwise dont waste your time on trying to squeeze power out of the DPFI set up.

the little resistor plate is held on by one screw if i do recall it was used to boost fuel economy. it'll only add a very small amount 5hp?. its a quick and simple way to add a little bit more air but imo it's not really worth it. b2's have **** for hp anyways slap on a mpfi lol

if you want hp gains throw on a a6 cam and a y7 gear

Maybe 5HP if you are lucky.
Dpfi is great since it is restricted, you get good fuel economy.
Same idea as removing the dpfi box and just putting an air filter on it.
But you are still trying to make lemonade out of oranges.

Removing that small, v-shaped plate isn't going to do much for 'performance', if anything it's just going to make your intake sound louder during acceleration. It's more of a baffle than anything.

"Took the restrictor plate off to give the Red Dragon a little more juice. But it's not exactly street legal, so keep it on the down low."

If you are referring to the egg shaped plate before the throttle plate. I have removed it from my car and a friends car, with no ill effect. It just sounded better. It probably gives the engine .5hp at 5,000-6,500rpm. Not a big deal. And you can re install it if you want.
