Default Removing the word "civic" on my car.

ok, i did a search and didnt find anything pertaining to this..so i'll go ahead and ask. The word "civic" on the back of my car..is that just like the emblems in that its has two things holding it to the car and if i take it out it leaves two holes? or is it attached to the car by an adhesive? Im thinking of taking it off but i was worried if i took it off, that it would leave two holes and i would have to plug them. thanks for any responses. thanks guys.

On my 2000 Civic the "Civic" badge on the back trunk was attached by two sided tape. Pulled that bad boy off, used cleaner wax... Nice and clean!

Yep, the Civic and DX, LX, HX, etc... are held on by tape. There are no holes.
Only the Honda emblem will leave a hole.

Do heat it before you try to peel it off; and don't use a sharp object like a razor to peel it with. Otherwise sooner or later you will slip and scratch the **** out of your paint (just like someone I happened to know really well... )

Good job, you scraped your own paint Everyone who says it is held on by 2sided tape has an ek and a half... he has an eg, so I dunno if his are the same.. Anyone with an eGG taken off their emblems and can clarify this? I might take off my LX emblem and maybe my CIVIC one... Prolly just the LX for now... If I ever get around to it...

well, for anyone that is wondering weather or not the badge is held by an adhesive or its like the emblem, here is the answer. for my car its held on by and adhesive. so if your planning on taking the badge off your civic and you have a 94 civic, then go ahead and take it off. makes sure you gots some long nails and blow dryer with goof off.

Verified.

92-95 HB, coupe, sedan all share adhesive decals that can be removed with the aid of a steady hand and some patience(*hint* heat does'nt hurt either *hint*)...
