Default Hardline Tranny bypass?

I'm thinking about getting another lude, but the guy said that it needs some type of bypass thing for it to actually run.

Are you swapping in an engine or does it have a swap? I'm presuming your talking about the difference between an SH and base model 5th gens...

It's a 92 with a type S H22a swap, so 5th gen engine, with an H23a tranny.

You need to be more clear on what you're trying to do. If you bought a Type S engine and you aren't using it in a SH then you're in for a surprise, should have bought the Euro R.

You'll have to fab an adapter plate for the tranny if you want to use it. The Type S block is the same as the USDM SH, which is different from the base model; you cannot just swap them in. There have been a couple people who have fabbed adapters in the past; do some searching around here and you'll find them.
