EF Hatch B16A swap problems...need help please
Ok I bought this car with the swap already done...i know but they did a decent job and man it ran hella good when i bought it too.
Well now my wife was driving down highway and lost all power.....
after a week of trying to figure out what distributor to get we finally got the right one and the right fit ODB0....
well now that I have the new dizzy n....it ran like **** big time...NO POWER at all.
I replaced fuel filter and the plugs were shot so i put new Bosch Plat 4 today and its finally starting but NO POWER at all...when i hit the gas it just wants to die...i might be able to hit 3k once or twice but then it gets worse and almost dies.....help me please.... I unplugged the map sensor and thats not the problem....my buddy thinks its the TPS....any help would be great...
Thanks in advance
Jay

Did you actually set the ignition timing? You can't just slap a distributor on there and call it good, especially on an EFI engine.
Also, throw those Boschs in the trash, they are garbage.

But please explain the ignition timing cause i did not do that and would that cause the "No Power" at all problem?

Got that part, but your distributor needs to match your ECU so we need to know what exactly you have.
Please provide which ECU you have as well as the numbers on your distributor (vtec and non vtec distributors are different internally)

Ill snap some pics too.
And that really doesn't help at all.
Need the actual stamp number on the distributor and the barcode number on the ECU.
Distributor code is usually found on the side of one of the 'ears' that bolt to the head..

^^ trying to find out what distributor he has!
I doubt that D11 translates to TD-11.
TD-11 is from an Acura Vigor and I highly doubt that's the distributor you have on there.
Take the distributor off the head and look around on it for a different number.

Ah - got the edit. cool!
You got the right stuff!
Seemed like a hassle and a waste of time, but if the distributor didn't match the eCU it would have been an instant fix.

No im good with double checking....but any clue what is wrong with my car....it ran hella good before the distributor went out...now im stuck with a car that starts but no power at all.
No, I dont =/
Never had a problem that was the REAL limp mode. Usually I get CEL light and codes that tell what the problem could be.
I am not even convinced your distributor was the problem. You replaced it's not fixed.
Almost sounds like the timing belt hopped a tooth.
Probably a good place to start.

Just pulling at straws but could it be the injectors? and is there a way to clean them your self?
