Default B18c1 pitting in cylinder wall

Hey HT,

Just picked up a B18C to start my build and when i received it i noticed it had some pitting within one of the cylinder walls. Anyone know if this is to far gone or can it be repaired? I would appreciate any feedback.

looks bad. only way to know is to have it checked out by a machine shop. an overbore can probably fix it.

Anyone else know if this can be fixed? I planned on getting it bored out anyway however does it look deeper than they would want to go?

That's not pitting, that's straight up chunks from broken ringlands or valves. Most machine shops will not try to fix that with a bore because it will ruin, or badly dull there boring tips.
