88 Hatch w/ 1st gen b16. HELP NEEDED!
Hey guys, this is my first post as you all can tell. But i've owned my 88 civic w/ the first gen b16 swap for about two years now. I bought the car with everything pre-installed so i'm not the builder of this specific build, but i have learned a lot from it.
My car was acting perfectly fine until about four months ago whenever i installed a set of 6000K HID Headlights into my Ef. I drove the car with the newly installed HID'S for around two to three months until all hell broke loose. I was driving down the street at night when i noticed my dash lights began to dim and my clock was almost completely black. Alternator. So i purchased a "used" ls alternator(since i'm 0BD1) from a friend of mine and installed it. The problem was fixed momentarrily, and i took the HID'S off and went back to stock lighting just to make sure it didnt cause anymore problems.
A few weeks went by and i noticed my original battery was then dead. So i purchased a brand new yellow top duralast battery with proper specifications for my car and put it in.
The starter then needed to be replaced! Like within weeks after installing the new battery and alternator my starter went out. So i now have 3 new components all being my battery, alternator, and starter.
PRESENT: On a daily basis i have to charge my battery with a battery charger just to get to and from school and work. Like every two days it HAS to be charged or it simply will not work long enough even for me to drive up the street to the store.. its ridiculous i know. But i've replaced tons of grounds, i've installed new spark plugs and i JUST installed a 100% brand new alternator into my car and the problem still is there and continually ruining my honda experience.
Helpful Specs: P28 Ecu, 95 integra VTEC alternator w/ 90amps, battery re-located to the back, tachometer w/ shift light in the far left air vent.
I would highly appreciate any help that any of you may have to offer, because i simply cannot go like this much longer. The car runs like a champ minus the fact that it Can and Will not hold charge to save my life. I'm not the best mechanic but i have a very good understanding of my car and all of its components. So please feel free to ask questions if needed. Thanks guys!
and sorry my post was so long lol. Much to tell!

Probably a short, draining your battery. You need to test for voltage leak test. Do a web search, it is explained in details how to use a voltmeter to find the offending circuit.

Good chase,
Yeah dude i know right? haha. the wiring is just so crazy from the previous owner's "wire-tuck" that its hard to see what goes where. but, thanks for the advice and the link man, i'm having a friend of mine come over after work and he's bringing his voltmeter. So after doing some searching i'll get back with you and let you know how it went!
Why is this in the Classic Honda Forum?
88 Civic =/= Classic
First Gen B16 (Stamped "B16A" found in 89-91 JDM Civic, Integra, and CRX) =/= Classic
Shouldn't this be in the EF forum?

I posted a "corrected version" in the proper category. this is my third day on honda-tech and i do not know how to delete a existing post. Or else it would be gone by now. But i posted my problem hoping to get advice or help, not criticism.
It's not criticism to point out your in the wrong forum, thus enabling you to get help from people with the same car and problems as you. Welcome to H.T.
Yeah that's very true, and i appreciate the guidance man. Thanks! I'm very stoked about joining. i think about anything and everything involved in cars 24/7. This is my world lol
