I have a 92 accord LX that I just swapped a JDM f22a into, engine and tranny. The engine and tranny have low miles. The car runs great and shifts great and everything seems to work fine, except I'm getting a TCU code 2 "lock up solenoid". The light comes on after driving a little while and stays on, but when you turn the car off the light doesn't blink again until you drive the car again. The car had this same issue before the SWAP.

1. i have done all the tests according to the Helms manual to the lock-up solenoid
2. all of the tests were normal the solenoid had all the correct OHMs and functioned properly.
3. I replaced 4 capacitors in the TCU that looked like they were leaking.
4. Took the car for a drive and got the light again, turned of the car and started it again and the light was gone. (until i drive it again)
5. I haven't checked the MAIN RELAY, but i don't know if it will help in this case.
6. Should I buy I re-manufactured TCU?

Any help will be greatly appreciated. the light is driving me crazy and I want to fix it, but don't what direction to head in now.

 

The main relay, [If you mean PGM-FI Main Relay] has absolutly nothing to do with the transmission or the "TCM".

I would check your local bone yards, [PicknPull] to see if you can pick one up there. 94

 

do you mean buy a TCU or a Lock up solenoid or both?

The TCU, as you had the same problem before the swap, [diff. lock-up solenoids] I would guess it is the TCU that is the problem.94
