Default shock/spring alignment questions.. help me out

Well, i got my kyb gr2's installed on my ground controls. I also got an 4 wheel alignment. ( i figured i might as well have them put them on while it was getting an alignment..).. I told them I wanted the car to stay low.. but i didnt want to wear tires..

I got my car back, and it was high as ****. Maybe .5 drop in front (due to weight) and .25 in back...

I told them i wanted it lower, but they said it would mess up the alignment and I would wear tires.. so i just said f' it and left with a high *** car.

They told me they had an optional front and rear camber corrections +install for about 400.. that would allow me to lower the car, and not worry about tire wear.

Would i be able to drop my car a maybe .5 in the front and 1 inch in the back without it effecting it, or should i just get the cambers. - i ask this because i am really short on money. ___

also on another note... the front end is still pretty high.. and it looks as if, there is about a .75 gap between the shock stopper and the GC's stopper ( i think thats what they are).. isnt this something to worry about? If i got any lower, such as 1.25 or 1 1/2.. am i going to be facing bottoming problems with the gr2's and GC's?

thanks and sorry for such a long post

i am lowered about 2" (when measuring from the ground to the jacking point, its 5.5") and i am just about within spec for camber and toe. if your toe is in spec, you can run up to -1.5 degrees of camber without wearing tires too fast. lower the car where you want it and tell the alignment shop to get the toe in spec and the camber as close to spec as possible.
