long story short, I have a fully built d16 currently running an 18G on a edelbrock manifold. I simply want more power and this turbo is out of life at 22psi. does anyone know of something that will work with this manifold that can produce 450-550hp?

..this is a long shot, but preferably internally wastegated.

GT3071R can make about 440whp maximum output. The GT3076R or TR3030R could do about 480whp (GT3076R) -530whp (TR3030R) when pushed to its limits. To make 400-450whp, it is best to run externally gated to maintain optimal control, But the turbocharger needs to be 56lbs/min (Pushed) -61lbs/min not so pushed.

At that level, the edlebrock exhaust manifold that you plan to use will be much less effective at that power range anyway. This is what happens when you start to seriously want power; you much change a good portion of the setup as though you started over. Better get that D-series head REALLY UP TO SPEED before even considering this route
