how much would u charge your buddy for a paint job?
So many factors.
Depends on what paint you are using, what equipment you already have, what shape the bodies are in, how many hours you spend, ect.
There is no way anyone could give you a good answer with what you gave us.

I would say charge shop rate at 70-90 per hour. tell them to include the masking tape and any left over is left for the painter (you).
I would tell them to also provide the primer, sealer, base and clear so all you need to do is shoot the car.
all in all, a paint job should last 4-6 man hours.

tell them to get an estimate at a few different shops... so they see exactly how much this sh*t really costs... then tell them you will strike a deal accordingly.

I have people cover ALL the costs of supplies & equipment, and then if they want to help with prep we can work out a good deal, otherwise it isn't cheap (like everyone thinks
).
).
I'm not including the whole prep work part, I said it would be 4-6 hours for painting a car. just shooting it with primer, base, clear.
maybe more time than that, just estimating.
but if they want their entire done fixed from dented up **** to show car, it'd be a ****load.
make sure u tell em body work is seperate from paintwork... so they dont think that just because you're painting their car, they get dents pulled out for free

Can your friend do something for you in return? I painted a friends car and in return he did some home renovations for me.
