only lasts for a couple second, and then when it stops the idle increases.
what belt is most likely making this noise?

just had alternator belt changed not too long ago, and it started a couple months after. power steering belt non existent.

 

Then you have your answer. Check the tension.

 

cheap belts do that---

get OEM, or a high quality belt.

or, tighten it up.

 

^~~~+1 cheap rubber belts have a lot of stretch in them and squeal all the time and u can never get them tight enough. as he stated get a good expensive high quality belt or OEM. if u wanna buy cheap belts u might as well get used to this problem.
