Default Did a valve adjustment and threw a o2 sensor code - 95 accord f22b2

It seems like an odd coincidence. This car had never had a valve adjust in its life (359,000 miles.) I adjust the valves to spec using the thread in the FAQ and throw code 41 the next day. I've never seen the light come one in all the years I've owned it. After the valve adjustment it needs noticeably less pedal to maintain speed so I'm obviously using less fuel. Think this new lean running is setting the code off?

Code 41 is for the heater circuit, not the O2/AF circuit. Check the O2 wire connections. you may have pulled a wire loose when doing work under the hood.

Valve Adjustment is a GREAT tune-up to do on a old car. My accords tac stopped workin at 195,000 but I know it has to have over 250,000!!

Thanks for clarification on the code ghostaccord. I traced the o2 under the hood and can't find anything undone. I guess its time for a new sensor.

Before you do that try to do some diagnostics.
------------------

*This is the one off my Civic and is only an example to show you which terminals. Yours may be different but, has the same shape:

With the ignition OFF, disconnect the sensor connector and measure resistance (Ohms) between terminals 3 and 4 on the sensor side of the connector.

Is there 10-40 ohms?

NO- replace the sensor

YES- Check for continuity between terminals 3 and 4 and body ground separately.

Is there continuity?

YES- replace the sensor

NO- check for continuity between terminal 4 and terminals 1 and 2 separately.

Is there continuity?

YES- replace the sensor

NO- Turn the ignition to ON(II) and measure voltage between yellow/black and orange/black.

Is there battery voltage?

NO- measure voltage between yellow/black and body ground. if no voltage repair the open in the yellow/black wire between the connector and the main relay.

YES- Turn the ignition OFF and disconnect ECM connector A. Then turn the ignition to ON(II) and measure voltage between yellow/black and orange/black again.

Is there voltage?

YES- Repair the short in the orange/black wire between ECM (A11) and the sensor.
---------------

If you need more I'll post it.

Thank you for that post, exactly the details I needed. I didn't get past the first step, no resistance, it shows open. I ordered a new Denso o2 off partsgeek for $45
