Default Front Springs

If its not one thing, its another....and another...and.......

So a simple front brake job just led to an interesting discovery on my sons CRX. When we pulled the drivers side wheel, I discovered the coil-over spring was busted. Luckily, it was snapped right at the bottom. I pulled what I would guess is about 1/4 of a coil out. After putting the car back on the ground, the spring seems to have reseated itself back into the strut, so I am hoping it will drive OK until I can decide what my options are for replacing the spring(s) on the car.

Since this is his first car, I am trying to keep what repairs I have to make on as small a budget as possible, and let him work for, and pay for the eventual upgrades.

So my question is, what is the best / cheapest way to go about replacing the coil-over? Are these avaliable anywhere as just a stock replacement? I checked Auto Zone and O'Riley and all I found were the struts, no springs. All I seem to find on e-bay are what seem to be "too cheap to be good" adjustable coilovers.

Any ideas....or even better, anyone with a decent set of take offs out there?

EDIT: Sorry.....car is a 1990 Base CRX 1.5 Automatic. I am pretty sure everything is stock, and likely original to the car.

some ebay springs aren't that bad, it depends if you want to lower the car at all. you could check honda if they have stock springs but i'm not sure if they would.

this place seems to have some though

check the F/S section on the site maybe someone here has some but also you could check local junkyards to see if theres any springs there, probably your best and cheapest way to go without lowering the car. if im not mistaken you can use 90-93 acura integra springs too

I would imagine that you could pick up a set of springs pretty cheaply considering that replacing the stock struts and springs with aftermarket is pretty common.

Just check craigslist in your area, I sold my stock spring out of my car for $20 for the set...
