Default p28 with an auto trans and tcu

hi,
honda owner here from scotland looking for infofor my research on a turbo build.

as you may have guessed ive got an auto trans. its a 1997 mb4 honda civic 5 door d16b2 obd2.

ive been looking for way to manage my fuel and ignition timing for an auto turbo application running low boost. ive scoured the net and all ive been able to find is this -
my car has a seperate tcu controlling the auto transmission. ive been made aware that i could replace the ecu with a p28 (with conv harness) and a d16 basemap and also keep my auto shifting features.

could anybody clarify this or any help would be really appreciated.

i want to do this right and keep away from any hacks or cheap fixes.

thanks guys
