Default Brake Light Issue

Hi I am having trouble with my brake light. The tail lights in my car work but for some reason when I hit my brake only one side gets brighter and the other stays the same. When my lights are off only one side gets brighter. I check my fuses and they all look good. The problem I am thinking is that there is a short in the wire which I am trying to check on but I want to see if anyone has had this problem before.

Thanks

Try replacing the bulb.

That bulb is about to go. The bulb light burns brighter and then burn up.
