Default OnlineTires.com still has issues. Awaiting my order now from TireRack.com.

I thought I'd try out OnlineTires.com. They seemed to offer nice wheels at killer prices. They had some bad reviews on their customer service, but some decent reviews, too. I thought I'd give them a chance. But alas, the morning I submitted my order, I got a call. They don't offer the wheel I was looking for (apparently, it is no longer even manufactured). In fact, they won't have any of the models I was interested in for several months. ???? They need to stop trying to do business with a website. Pretty sad.

I just put an order in at Tire Rack for a different but equally attractive package, if not better. They even throw in mounting, lug nuts, centric ring, etc. Hopefully, I can pick them up in Reno (just over the hill from me) and save the shipping charge (which at over $90 is pretty hefty in my opinion).

Good deal.

Plus they are a forum sponsor so that's always a plus.

Fabulous! Everything arrived very well packaged, all to spec, tires inflated to 35lbs exactly, shiny new lug nuts, hub covers, properly fitting hub centering rings, and a very informative TIRERACK.com Tire/Wheel owner's manual.

16x7.5 silver Sport Edition CD wheels
215/60R16 Yokohama Avid tires

All for just $712.22. Way better than any local tire shop.

I'll post before and after pics soon.

Oh, and two suggestions for the website's Shopping Cart/checkout: Offer local pickup as a shipping option. Explain clearly that Nevada sales taxes apply for local pickup.

I ended up having them shipped since the trip over the mountains wasn't warranted when NV taxes were added.

Still, I was VERY satisfied.
