Default F20B in a 97 Honda Accord LX

Hey guys I need some help. I recently replaced the F22B2 in my 97 Accord LX with a F20B. The car starts and work fine but the ECU I currently using is for the old motor. I was able to get a automatic ECU for a F20B from ebay but once plugged in the car will not turn over. I called the company and had a replacement sent out but still had the same issue? Can any one help?

To be honest I have no idea. There are three different numbers on the ECU. 37820-PCB-N51. CY-EH2759ATM, NO, 11156.

thats how the immobilizer works. it is looking for the key code, but since you do not have a key coded to the ecu, nor do you have the hardware in your car to read the magnetic code on the key you won't be able to start it.

Yes, F20B are OBD2 engine and has an OBD2 ECU which has the immobilizer. That immobilizer will try to look for the key it's programed with. If it doesn't recognize it then your engine won't start.

Convert it to OBD1 by running an H22A IM + 2-wire IACV, Peak & Hold Injectors(345cc), OBD1 H22 Distributor, OBD2 to OBD1 jumper harness, and a OBD1 P28 Chip ECU with an H22 basemap. Then go in for a dyno&tune to get your car running right.

Who did the swap for you?

Is that P5M out of an automatic 97+ Prelude? And if it is, it is going to be OBD2B and not OBD2A like your stock Accord harness. Which plug is missing on the new ECU?

I thought jdm ECU computers didnt have immobilizers thats only usdm, and i think i saw someone use a f20b and you might have to swap a few wires on the ecu for it to work but this thread is old. just curious to what you did with that f20b in a 97 i may do the same
