I have to replace a inner tie rod on my del sol tommorow..I know there is a special tool you can rent..but my question is..will this be a simple fix or is there any specific things you need to know/do?

after that tie rod is replaced you will need an alignment or close to one because your toe of your ties will be off and it will eat your tires.

 

The inner tie rod is threaded on to the rack gear. There is a special tool for it but you don't need it. I just used a monkey wrench. Mark where the jam nut on the outer tie rod is with some white out or something so it will be easier to align.

 

^Exactly what I did, then went straight in for an alignment. No special tools needed.
