Default Intake manifold vacuum leak causing coolant reservoir to smoke?? ANYONE Plzz Help!!

I have a 97 honda civic Ex - d16y8
I replaced my stock intake manifold with an Edelbrock performer x manifold (got just the manifold of a guy from craigslist).
I replaced the intake manifold gasket with a felpro gasket and used gasket sealant too. I still have a big vacuum leak by cylinder 4 (cylinder closest to distributor cap right?)
I noticed yesterday and today that white smoke was coming out of my hood. So i pulled over popped the hood and noticed white smoke from the coolant reservoir and coolant splattered all over. Alot of coolant was towards the bottom of the car in a puddle on the inside of the bumper. I am also loosing a lot of coolant.
Does any one know whats going on. I am really scared its a head gasket blown. Can a vacuum leak even cause a head gasket to blow?
Any feedback is GREATLY appreciated!

You probably didn't scrap all of the OLD gasket off.

Get all old gasket off. Do not use gasket sealant whatsoever. You will need to bleed your coolant, vacuum leak won't cause an over heat.

So if its not an overheat what do you think is causing the smoke? would the bad gasket seal be causing the coolant to smoke?
