Default P/Steering, gas pedal mods possible on 95 LX?

Just got my 95 Accord LX a few months ago and there are 2 things that kinda bug me (compared to my previous car) and would like to know if any of you Accord Gurus have come up with any Mods...

1. Gas pedal is quite stiff. A bit tiring (PITA) when on long trips. Is there a way to install a softer return spring on the pedal or under the hood on throttle linkage?

2. The power steering is quite sensitive. Is there a way to cut back on the power assist so that it is not as sensitive to input. Would really like a bit less of a power assisted response. Anyone ever modded this?

Thanks.

the throttle body is prone to gunking up. pull the intake hose and give the TB a good cleaning with a toothbrush and some TB cleaner. be thurough and don't forget the back of the plate. It's likely to be hard to start afterwards. just hold the pedal to the floor untill it smoothes out and runs on its own.

also, just to be sure, check the cable for damage or binding. lube the springs and pedal pivot with white lithium spray after cleaning with brake parts cleaner.

it may be possible to modify some of the valveing in the rack to get more or less assist... but i'm not aware of anyone having tried that.

a more extreme option would be to "loop" the rack. in concept, you eliminate the power assist and create a closed loop of fluid to keep the rack lubricated. this involves indentifying the lines connected to the rack, looping two together and pluging the others as well as removing some of the valving in the rack. In the end you have a manual rack with a slightly quiker ratio in most cases.
