stock b16a2 blow up on precision sc34 14lbs of boost over rev mis-shift .. deciding??
My old setup:
Completely stock b16a2 besides:
ACL Rod Bearings
ACL Main Bearings
ACL Thrust Washers
P30 Pistons, stock Rods(SiR)
Gsr Cams
As far as forced induction bolt ons:
Precision Sc34 .. High boost 14lbs ... low 7lbs
38mm Tial Wastegate
HKS SSQV Blow off Valve
I.D 1000's
Spooling Performance Log Style T3/T4 Manifold
Main problem: First boosted car that I drove like an all motor car. This is where I made the mistake.
My concern here is that I didn't go with forged internals. The Car made 325whp on high boost and I was fine with that as far as stock internals go. After I got the car back I got way too happy and decided to take it out for a cruise.
The next day I take the car out for a cruise I pick up full boost in second gear and while I try slam it into 3rd while powershifting, i completely grind the **** out of it. my tachometer needle goes noodles in about 4 circles and after that, the car sounded like a wrx.
My guess was that it was mis-firing. The next day I take it out to go to work, and it kept shutting off on me because the oil pressure kept dropping and it was mis-firing and not running right like the first time.
When I got off work I go back to the garage, and do a compression test.
Cyl 1: 70 psi
Cyl 2: 200 psi
Cyl 3: 40 psi
Cyl 4: 80-90 psi
I knew it was my valves but I didn't have a leakdown tester to pinpoint it exactly. I start taking off the head, and the pistons out. The pistons are completely gone, chunks came off of the p30 pistons.
This is why I came on honda-tech. Now I am thinking about cranking the boost up since I am going to get it re-tuned on 20 lbs and want to make over 400+whp. What brand & compression pistons would be suitable for reliability, picking up boost pretty quick ?
The other thing I wanted to ask should I stick to another OEM head gasket, and do any headwork such as getting skunk 2 valves or get another set of OEM valves. I know for sure the head is gone, and needs another valve job done, and a few valves.

That would have happened, boost or NA
Unlike NA, you don't need super special valves for anything. you can use JE,Wiseco, or whatever, but keep your compression about 9.5:1 or so, and make sure its tuned properly. No port/polish needed.
Stick w/ OEM head gasket. You'll make about 420whp MAXIMUM on the turbocharger.
