Default 88 Prelude

Seat belt / Door light comes on and starts beeping out of no where, doors are closed and seat belt is fastened..loose connection somewhere?

any help?

Its your seabelt sensor. Its not working proplery. Unfortunately there is no new replacement parts for that, so you will need to go to a junkyard to pull a used sensor and replace it.

Or you can check to see if Honda can still get it, but more than likely its a discontinued part.

Since seat belts have a LIFETIME warranty, the buckle is still available

Yes it is a guaranteed part, and from the more recent memebers on pp.com those parts are getting low.

I believe that the graphite color is no longer available.

But they had the dark brown color. Like I said earlier, just check with your local Honda dealer for availability.

The door switch in the latch may have failed. If this is the case, whole door latch assy must be replaced. Its easy to test. Its the 3 pin connector behind the door panel near the latch. Check continuity between the center wire of the connector to each outside wire. There should be 0 ohms (continuity) on respective wires with the latch open and closed.
