I have a 99 ex coupe with a 98 b18b ls motor in it and im having issues with the idle. When its cold i have to keep it running or it will shut off and when its warm it stays at about 1000rpms roughly but will just shut off when i come to a stop and if it stays on for a while(while sitting in traffic or sum) the cel will pop on. I have check everything from vaccum leaks to replacing censors and tb. I have no idea what else this could be. Please respong with any feedback thanks.

 

What CEL? Do you not think that a check engine light is something you need to look into? When was your last tune-up?

the scanner will not read when we go to check the cel and i have cleaned the IACV and i recently replaced plugs wires and all i dunno why the scanner wont read im running obd1 with my car also.....thanks for your feedback

 

You can't use a scanner with an OBD1 ECU. Jump the service connector to pull the codes.
